    Dishwasher repair serviceI don’t usually leave reviews, but it is so important I share my experience with Mike, especially during these crazy times & when money is tight for most. We have a 4 yr old fridgidaire dishwasher that went out in the middle of a wash. It wasn’t working for weeks. We were referred an “professional appliance technician” from a trusted source. He charged us $75 and was here ten minutes watching YouTube videos on how to fix fridgidaire dishwashers. Never fixed the problem and told us the issue was the control panel. We spent $65 ordered new control board and replaced it... still didn’t work. About to drop over $400 for a new dishwasher out of frustration, I googled appliance repair companies with good reviews, hoping I could speak with someone who knew what they were doing and maybe could give us a few ideas and was willing to pay someone else to come out. I called and got Mike. He was so friendly and walked me through a few resets for my dishwasher. After trying a few things, he said it was probably the latch. He told us to pull the dishwasher out a little from under the countertop. My dishwasher immediately started!!! He could have so easily said “I need to come look at it and that will be $100 fee”. It’s rare to find good people like this that want to help others, especially when it comes to appliance repairs. I am so thankful I called him, and he will be the first person I call in the future for appliance issues. I even offered to mail him the new control board we didn’t have use for so he could use it for another customer and he told me to keep it for future if we need it. Strong morals and ethics are so important when hiring someone to work in your home and this man is not only honest and ethical, but he’s very knowledgeable to fix an appliance over the phone to a stranger lol! Thank you Mike!!!

    Dishwasher drain repairAs a small business owner myself, customer service is number 1. You will find no better service than HQ Appliance Repair. Called on a Saturday evening expecting to get a voice mail. Mike picked up, told him my dishwasher was not draining. I had already googled and YouTubed trying all the recommendations with no luck. Told me to clean out the air trap, sure enough had a couple of objects blocking the flow. Works like a champ. He didn’t charge me for this advice but he now has a new customer moving forward.

    5 star rating Samsung Dryer repairMike was great! Our 1 1/2 yr old Samsung dryer stopped working. Called Sears and they could not figure out what was wrong, first they replaced the wrong part, still didn't work. They told us we needed another part and after 3 weeks of waiting for the part and not getting anywhere when calling them for ETA, we decided to find someone else. We found Mike and in less than 24 hours he came out on Saturday at the time he said he would and quickly diagnosed the real problem. He explained what was broken (tension pulley) and had the replacement part with him to do the repair. Would highly recommend. Only wish we called him first!

    It stated as a small issue that became an irritating headache! The drain line on our fridge clogged, resulting in water leaking on the kitchen floor. This problem also caused an ice build-up that froze the fridge's freezer drawer completely shut. Mike arrived at our house several hours after we called him. He repaired the drain line and painstakingly defrosted the ice preventing the freezer drawer from opening. He explained each step that he took to rectify the problem and told me exactly what to do to keep the issue from reoccurring. I found Mike's work to be professional and efficient and his repair cost to be reasonable. I will definitely employ Mike for any future appliance repairs. Very satisfied customer😄!

    I thought my refrigerator was dying as it was not completely cooling. I called Mike and he inspected the refrigerator and found that it only needed to be reset by pulling the plug, waiting and then plugging the refrigerator back in. Mike explained why it needed to be reset and he showed me how to tell if the refrigerator was cooling. He also gave other tips such as placing a surge plug with a delayed response so the refrigerator would not turn on immediately when the sudden power outages occur. Mike also looked at my washing machine and said it was working fine and gave tips about the machine. What I really appreciated was a text from Mike the next day asking how the refrigerator was working. Mike will always be the person I call for repairs!

    Sub-Zero Hero We have a 25 year old Sub-Zero refrigerator which has often needed repairs and replacement parts at great expense. Initially the work was by "accredited" repair services, almost always nationwide franchises employing semi-skilled labor. Consequently, every fix we had was of short benefit and was often followed by some other problem. Finally, we found Mike at HQ appliances and have been extremely impressed by all his work. He has always responded promptly to call out requests, communicating arrival times by text. On different occasions he's had to fix both the Sub-Zero's freezer and refrigerator sections, replacing or, where possible, repairing items that were often damaged or incorrectly installed by prior repair workers. What's unique about Mike is that he doesn't just fix the immediate problem but also carefully seeks its root cause and fixes that as well to prevent recurrence. He's worked previously as a refrigeration engineer in petrochemicals and his skill and experience show. He's a meticulous and careful technician, so although he may spend longer on the repair, his prices are at the lower end of those made by so-called "approved" franchises. After completion, he sends follow up texts to check all is functioning as it should. Mike apparently fixes other domestic appliances, and we would certainly contact him should the need arise but from our repeat experience on our refrigeration equipment, he is outstanding, and we give him the highest possible recommendation

I called Mike because my LG Refrigerator is not functioning properly. He told me OVER THE PHONE exactly what the issue was and directed me to call LG because they would repair it for a lower price since it had a warranty. MOUTH DROP. He could have made over $1400 on me but he is a true service man with GREAT service! He directed me elsewhere at a cost to himself. You cannot get more HONEST than that!

I am not using him this time, but going forward this number will be saved in my phone. I am also a Realtor in the area and I will be directing all my clients to MIKE! THank you Mike! Just when I thought the world was a total loss!

My refrigerator would no longer get cold. I requested a quote from HQ App. on Yelp and within a few minutes I recieved a response and made an appointment for the next day. Mike texted to let me know he was on the way and was on time for the appointment. Mike took a look at the refrigerator/ freezer and quickly determined the issue to be the defroster. Mike made sure I understood the issue and pointed out the issue in the freezer. He fixed the issue in a timely manner and fixed another issue at my house. He provided a one year warranty on the work and also texted the next day to make sure everything was ok. I would highly recommend Mike to anyone.
