Hi all. I have a Frigidaire upright freezer, LFFH17F3QWA. It suddenly stopped working. The interior light goes on, so I know it's getting power, but it doesn't cool. I've turned it to the coldest setting, and everywhere in between, and I don't hear the compressor or any fans. Total silence. Can someone tell me where to start looking for problems? Thanks!

I’ve got a Frigidaire Gallery dishwasher. It’s probably 5 years old. 6six weeks ago it started to leak from the bottom of the door. I got a repair person to look and ordered a replacement gasket for the bottom. We tried it today and it still leaked. He noticed the gasket around the sides and top seemed a little pushed in so he’s ordering a new one. Took it off and now it’s leaking worse. ![]()

Hello! I have a problem that needs your expertise. After watching some tutorials on YouTube, I successfully cleaned off all dirt from in-between two pieces of tempered glass located inside one big frame which looks like an overdoor window pane except much bigger than regular windows Unfortunately though when putting everything back together again more; no matter what tools or tricks used during disassembly/reassembly processes...they just won't go away!!! Heat retention might become compromised because of these annoying tiny air pockets if nothing changes soon.

About a month ago I heard an odd noise coming from the dryer. After watching it for a bit I noticed it arcing on the bottom right-hand door hinge on the outside. I thought it sounded and looked like static electricity, but even if it is *just* static electricity my understanding is it shouldn't be happening. Samsung paid for a technician to come inspect it. I showed him the video and he agreed about the static electricity. He couldn't find anything wrong with the dryer or plug wiring or any evidence of arcing. All the wires and connections are good, it's properly grounded, etc. He said he's seen something similar before, but it's always the wiring. He called Samsung and because he couldn't reproduce the issue they said it must be something wrong with our laundry. They said it is safe to use. The technician also thought it was safe to use. The issue persists. I've seen it happen with clothes and bedding. Nothing odd about the laundry we're drying. We're not very comfortable using it and have it unplugged with the breaker off. Any thoughts?
Dryer worked perfect a couple weeks ago. It Has power, but when you press start, it rotates once, then shuts off.

My friend has this gas dryer that it's starting to take a lot longer for the clothes to dry. So I'm assuming it's Lint build up. But I looked online and I don't see a heating element. so for the gas dryers, is there a different piece other than the heating element?
Think I " fried" the light circuit under my " over the range", Whirlpool while changing a bad bulb. Any ideas on how to fix this? Microwave about 2 years old. I think I was changing the bulb and pulling out the broken base of the bulb with a pair of pliers( i think) and it sparked( I think). New bulb won't work. It's Been over a year. Yes, I forgot to turn off the breaker before I tried this. Constructive fixes appreciated in advance. Just checked and it's a " 2020" model.

When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it's been deleted. Whirlpool dishwasher installed in 2017. After a cycle, majority of dishes smell like wet dog. I have switched detergent, cleaned the filter (which is never dirty when I’ve removed it to clean), ran an empty cycle with a bowl of vinegar, poured baking soda & vinegar in drain hole & let it sit, poured bleach in the drain hole, and I’ve always used dishwasher cleaner once a month. Tonight, I sprayed the water holes in the lower arm with CLR to soak. Could it be the lower element needing to be replaced - would that cause the smell? ![]()

Nine year old LG washing machine displaying LE code. I watched enough videos to see the possible problem and solution. However, it’s a big job to move the machine and fix it, which can’t be cheap. I understand why. Hate to spring for a new machine but might. Any thoughts? Thanks very much.
I was using my elliptical one day and noticed it was swaying side-to-side much more than it should've. So I removed the covering and noticed that a screw was loose. Then I began trying to screw it tighter, but it wouldn't screw any tighter. Felt stripped or something. Now looking back it,the "insert nut" that it was screwed into, was spinning around with it. ![]()
So long story short, I had to drill a hole into the screw to get both the screw and insert nut out of the machine. ![]()
Now I don't know how to fix it. I can't stick it back inside the way it came, because the hole is too small for the wide edges on one end to fit. And I tried drilling the hole bigger and then flipping it around, and gluing it to the base, but the epoxy wasn't strong enough I guess as it fell back off. Not sure what to do now. I also don't have any welding equipment or experience. ![]()

Hi - I'd appreciate some guidance here. I chased a jarring grinding sound from the dryer to the motor. It makes a somewhat intermittent grinding noise when turned (in the "right" direction). I cleaned what I could with an air duster. My understanding is I'm not supposed to use WD-40, or anything flammable.![]()

GE washer help 😭 model # GTW460ASJ5WW - sometimes it stops during the wash cycle, sometimes it will finish the cycle then fill up with water, sometimes it will complete the cycle but it seems to skip the drain and spin cycle. GE washer that’s probably 6 years old. Just started doing this.
I have a whirlpool cabrio dryer part# WED7300XW0 that stopped heating. I pulled it apart and cleaned lint from the trap to the blower, bottom of the case and everything I could get to with the shop vac. I then tested all the sensors and the thermal cutoff was giving me a bad reading, so I replaced it and the dryer worked for 1 load and now it’s not heating again. Pulled it back apart and the thermal cutoff is reading bad again.![]()

Not draining water completely, which (I'm assuming) is the reason the "Clean" indicator doesn't turn on when the cycle is complete. I will run drain cycles but no change in water level. If I wait over night, and run a drain cycle - it will drain.![]()
Took apart the inside of the machine, perfectly clean. No issues. Pulled drain motor, spun freely, impeller perfect. Everything was clean, electrical connections tight. Drain line was clean, no blockage. I have the drain hose loop high and into the house drain. ![]()
Put back together, ran a rinse cycle - drained just fine. Then ran a wash cycle and water remained. ![]()
Purchased new, this issue has slowly become more frequent over the last year. No change in sound of the machine (i.e. no bearings appear to be going, etc)![]()

Can anyone help me find a resource to replace the capacitor on this old kenmore microwave model 99321? It is a dual capacitance capacitor used to control the COOK vs DEFROST settings. Have not been able to find a dual value 3 terminal microwave capcitor like this. Total capacitance adds up to .97uf. Any possibility of me finding a similar dual capacitance unit that will work? Or can I order a .97uf generic microwave capacitor and just lose my defrost feature? Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Should all six prongs have continuity running through them. If two do not could that cause the dryer not to heat if both the Elements and thermostat has countinuity running through them ?
I have a Frigidaire Refrigerator model FGHS2631PF4A and it stopped making ice as well the water dispenser is super slow. First I ran the manual diagnostics on it, which didn’t help fix it. I then replaced the water filter base and that didn’t fix it. I then replaced the water inlet valve and that didn’t help either. Not sure what the issue is. Any suggestions/thoughts on the issue and further troubleshooting or fixes?

It stopped draining and then would time out and say end. There are no clogs anywhere. We then put it in diagnostic mode and showed codes for the drain pump and inverter board. We have since replaced the drain pump and inverter board with parts from GE. The washer still doesn't drain and now the only code it shows is for to much water in the tub. Please someone tell me what's wrong with my washer. We are so tired having to man handle the washer and tired of manually draining it.
I got a Frigidaire gallery electric oven ,that is warming for 5 minutes and then it shut off after 5 minutes. I check continuity of the bake element, the broil element, the thermal fuse and they are good. I check the ohms of the thermometer (i got 1087 Ohms) and look like good.![]()

I have an LG front load dryer. When you turn it on, the drum doesn't move and it makes a noise. Sometimes a few hours later it works fine. It did this in August for awhile, stopped and started doing it again this week. Thoughts, a new belt? A new motor? Pulleys?
My electric dryer quit heating and it was the heating element after installation of new element I turned on dryer I had heat but then I ran laundry and now no heat again. Tested element and all temp sensors. Question is I found this burnt wire wrapped in tape and where does the wire with the nut hook up? I am going to fix burnt wire.
Happy Friday everyone, Any Samsung Heads in the group? Fridge # RF263BEAESG/AA. The ice door (flap) would start flapping on its own. I replaced the main board and the dispenser assembly. It worked for 3.5 months. just got a recall it is doing the same thing. shutting off the breaker does not help. did not see any service bulletins on STG. However, after many desperate ideas were attempted, I realized that it works about 85% of the time if I have the unit fully pulled out from under the counter. I have a Samsung dishwasher (dw80r5060us) from Costco. It’s fairly new from 2022, but the stupid think keeps filling with water. If we leave it for more than a couple hours, the bottom of the tub would be 1/2-3/4ths full of water. I replaced the check valve, but still the same issue. Anyone experience this? I read it’s the water inlet. I wish I can return it back to Costco bc it’s been 2 years already and it’s past the 12 month Samsung warranty coverage.

Good day everyone happy Friday. Looking for a little bit of help.. I’m working on a single electric, GE monogram oven ZET938SM2SS. Customer complaint was unit was shut down after. Screen goes blank. Resetting the breaker the oven works again. I’ve replaced the main control board and the cooling fan. Worked for about a month.. they just called complaining it’s happening again. Anyone run into this problem before any help would be greatly appreciated. 
I have an LG WT1501CW top load washing machine. It runs perfectly fine, except while it's filling. While its filling and the drum is spinning fairly slowly, there is a very faint squeaking noise. This noise is only heard while filling, and it does not make that noise during any other cycle. Its direct drive so it is not the belt, and its very difficult recreate by hand. Any ideas on what it could be before I tear into this thing?
We got this dryer about 2 weeks ago, and now it's making a funny rattle noise whether it's running with or without clothes. Dryer really doesn’t shake at all when it’s running. Can’t seem to tell where the noise is coming from. Is this normal?

I have a Kenmore upright freezer that food was starting to thaw out in. I took the inside panel out to check if the fan was working. It was but the coils were frozen over as well as the thermostat and there was a bunch of ice in the bottom. I figured it was either the defrost timer or heating element. I brushed the ice off of the thermostat and left it alone to go to work. It is now working again. My question is should I replace the thermostat since that's really the only thing I touched before it started working again or would the ice building up in the bottom cause it to not circulate properly? I chipped most of the ice and got it out but the drain is still full of ice and I don't want to melt the rubber drain piece with a heat gun.

My Kenmore dryer (500 series) hums when you press “start.” I opened her up, cleaned out built-up lint and checked the belt and it’s fine. The drum spins manually, and the motor isn’t locked up. If I press “start” and give the drum a little push to get it rolling, it works fine. It’s like the motor doesn’t have enough strength to get it started, but once it’s rolling it’s fine. Help!

I have an electric GE dryer (model gtd42easj2ww). It will dry one load with no issues. However, if you try to dry a second load right after the first is done, it quits mid cycle, leaving wet clothes.![]()

I cleaned out a very clogged vent line. That didn't fix it. I cleaned out some rather clogged dryer internals. Didn't fix it ![]()

So we have ordered and tried to replace the bottom door seal on our dishwasher on a Frigidaire model. the new seal would not lock into place and I believe it is due to degradation of the plastic hook the fits the notch circled in the picture below. Based on the structure of the door panel I am unable to see inside for sure. Has anyone else had this problem and found a way to fix it?

Washer started with making the ping pong ball noise and people here recommended a shifter. I ordered one but it hasn't arrived yet. Today it is making the other noise. Any idea what it is now?

I have a GE refrigerator, side by side my ice maker stopped working, so I got a new one from parts select. I did everything in the video, instructions etc. When I plugged the refrigerator back in the door lights worked but nothing else. I had a control board from another repair ( long story, turned out to be simple fix not control board) someone recommended replacing the control board so tried it and now it's working, I have not plugged in the ice maker for fear of it blowing out my control board again. What am I doing wrong?
My furnace fan keeps shutting of before the house comes to temperature. It stays off for a minute or two and then fires up again. It will cycle like that until it reaches the temperature that the thermostat is set to. In the past this has happened and I just cleaned up the flame sensor rod. I assumed that was what needed done again. Took it out to clean but it looked pretty clean. Gave it a good once over anyways but it didn’t help this time. Thermostat is fine. Wonder if there’s any other quick/easy fixes to try before calling a repairman.
Whirlpool washer (WTE7120HW0) was showing F9E1 code for drain pump. Had an appliance repair service come out and say need’s a new pump. I replaced the pump and same thing. I’ve read some bad reviews that a lot of people have issues with the control panel after two years on these things. Should I just call it quits and get a new washer?

Lil’ help? Last weekend I replaced the sump and motor assembly on my Whirlpool dishwasher (WDF520PADM7). And while that has fixed the issue I was having, I’m now finding that the heat dry cycle on my machine no longer appears to be working. Any ideas?

We have a brand new, never used Kitchen Aid dishwasher that is 15 years old (new/old stock - model KUDUO3FTSS2. It was originally a floor model/display). When we installed it, we can hear a relay click in the door, and when the door is shut, the pump runs, but we have no lights on key pad, nor any power apparently getting to the control panel/key pad. ![]()
We’ve checked the thermal fuse (it’s good) and can track power to the circuit board (which is good - we’ve also checked/replaced). ![]()
Still no power going to the buttons/controls (?). ![]()
Should we replace the key pad next, or try something else? ![]()

Hello and thanks for allowing me into your group. I have a question for you dishwasher experts. I have a Whirlpool Quiet Partner III (GU2455XTSS0) that recently developed a bad heating element.![]()
My first time repairing a dishwasher, I took the washer out, removed the old element and replaced the element with a new genuine whirlpool part (W10518394).![]()
I noticed the new element had a very thin rubber washer on each side where the terminals pass through the tub. The old element that I took out had thicker rubber washers on that were larger in diameter.![]()
Now I'm doubting my work after everything is put back together and the washer is running.![]()
Should I be taking the element out again and swapping over these big rubber washers off the old element or do I just leave it sit as it is out of the box with the new element? I'm not sure which way is the proper way. Here are some pictures as it sits now. The third pic is one I found from an instruction sheet online and it looks visibly thicker.
Any idea why it’s making this noise? Won’t finish cycle. Sometiems won’t start.

Had heard this rattling noise on and off and couldn’t figure out what it was. I’m no technician but opened up the back and pinpointed the noise coming from the blower fan casing. So had to open the front to gain access lol take out the drum and expose the fan. It was filled with lint that had gone past the lint filter. Apparently these dryers have that problem. Cleaned up everything inside the fan and behind where the motor goes as well. The darn thing is purring now like a cat. ![]()
