HelloI have a Maytag refrigerator model mtb2156gew (top freezer). A while ago I noticed that the fridge compartment is not getting cool enough anymoreFreezer works fine. Turning it off for a few hours kinda reset it to normal but only for a period of a week or so. Then after a while I can see some melted water at the bottom (not a lot but noticeable) and the fridge compartment is not cool enough againHaving done a bit of my own research I suspected the problem could be in the defrost system. I took its parts out, tested thermostat, heater, defrost timer.Thermostat seemed to be ok (No continuity when it is warm, and continuity keeping it about 10 min in freezer). Heater is ok too, shows continuity through the contacts.The defrost timer though had no continuity on motor circuit (and infinite resistance too). So i replaced the timer (got an aftermarket one), and for 2 weeks the firdge worked like a charm, But then yesterday I noticed the same behavior happening again. Melted water at the bottom and the fridge compartment is not as cold anymore.I checked the timer , it rotates.Any suggestions what else I should check. Could it be a damper control problem? If it is any suggestions on how to diagnose/test it? I'm not 100% sure but I think water is dripping from where the control assembly connects to the back wall (see arrow on the photo)I'd much appreciate any help on that ... See MoreSee Less

Hello! I have a top load Whirlpool washer model Wtw7500gw2-Our washer is only 2 years old, but it had begun making a grinding nose during washes and not agitating the best. Laundry was NOT getting clean. After our local repair shop quoted roughly 3 weeks before they could even look at it, and another quoted minimum several hundred dollars and that it sounded like the gear case was bad and told it'd be a pain to replace and cost an arm and a leg... we went to YouTube and Whirlpool page for help, videos, etc. We ended up ordering the gear case from the 3 week wait repair shop since they were the closest. Once we tore apart the washer we saw that the motor rotor ALSO needed replaced as the gear teeth were a mess. So got both parts from the repair shop. Got it all put back together tonight. Plugged it in and attempted to do an empty "quick load" but now-- only the agitator will spin, not the drum. The drum had no issues previously. Now I am curious if my husband missed something when putting it back together or if there was something else we should have changed out as well??? Since the drum isn't spinning to start the cycle, the cycle doesn't begin (when it's trying to balance out the load). The drum moves well manually. The agitator/wash plate move equally with the drum when I manually move the drum. It just won't move when we try to run a load. A few searches made me wonder about a belt but once my husband took off the back there is no belt on the back of our washer... please help!My husband is a very handy diesel mechanic, but appliances are not his area of expertise!! ... This is a long shot….. My Mother-in-Law (89 and slight dementia). Called me about a problem with her Kenmore 80 washer. Top Loader He model (sorry I don’t have the Model number it’s about 6 years old.She complained that it wasn’t filling with water. In the bottom it has damp clothes around the outside of the tub (like it would have after a wash and rinse cycle. I tried to run a wash cycle and it wouldn’t do it. I was able to run a rinse cycle. So water can get to the machine. Is it possible that the machine is smart enough to know that it’s already washed those clothes? I know they check weight for measuring out the water, but are they smart enough to not wash clothes twice??? ... See MoreSee Less
